Whispering Pines Camp is located at an elevation of about 6000 feet above sea level and is surround by the beautiful Prescott National Forest in Prescott, Arizona. The moderate four-season climate produces about 277 days of sunshine each year. No matter the time of year, temperatures hover approximately 10 degrees cooler than Southern Arizona locations. The camp is only 90 miles from Phoenix. We hope you’ll find the ideal weather, friendly people and the lure of escaping from your daily routine enough to get you here to Whispering Pines Camp.
From the north:
Travel on I-17 South and take exit 278, Arizona 169 South. Turn right or north on Arizona 69 North to Prescott. Once in Prescott, Highway 69 becomes Gurley Street. Turn left (south) onto South Mt. Vernon Avenue. Continue 7 miles as this road turns into South Senator Highway. Follow signs after pavement ends and you enter the national forest.
WARNING: Do NOT use GPS to map the campgrounds unless you are already in Prescott, otherwise it will lead you on a 5 hour road trip on a dirt road.
